Further, we collect anonymous analytics data when you use the app, so we can better understand how it is used, find & fix problems and improve the overall experience for you.
#Does noteplan sync with google calendar license key#
When you activate NotePlan using a license key we store your email address, the key, and a unique hardware id to make licensing possible and to provide support (purchase through the Mac AppStore, if you don't want to share this data with us). FastSpring collects personal data as necessary for the transaction. We use "FastSpring" as payment service, so you can purchase NotePlan directly from the website. If you download the Mac version from the website (trial or beta), we use "AppCenter" by Microsoft for hosting the download and collect anonymous download statistics, analytics as well as crash reports which may contain your email address (optional) if you choose to send it with the report (don't send it or don't enter your email address if you don't want to share it). Through "EmailOctopus" we track newsletter emails, including who opens the emails and who clicks on which link (disable loading external images in your email client and don't click on the link, if you don't want it to be tracked). We use "EmailOctopus" for newsletter and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on "unsubscribe" inside the newsletter emails). The website uses "Google Analytics" for collecting website statistics (anonymous by shortening the IP address with opt-out support). Your Calendar and Reminders data is only displayed inside the app and not stored or sent to our servers (they are stored by macOS and iOS locally or in your iCloud on Apple's servers). NotePlan saves your notes as text-files locally on your devices and synchronizes them using CloudKit, iCloud Drive or Dropbox (depending on the configuration you can disable it if you don't want to use it) and doesn't send any personal data (such as notes, events and reminders) back to our servers.
